He Is God in Heaven above on on earth beneath

"When we heard it, our hearts melted and no courage remained in any man any longer because of you; for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath. Joshua 2:11

 

 

 

What I like about this verse is the one who spoke this statement,  Rahab, the harlot. Even thou she did not know God, she and the people of the land were hearing the stories about the God of Israel, the one true God. Our hope in ministry is that people of Haiti will come to know Jesus through our work in Haiti. That God will make His name known through us and people will turn to faith in Jesus just like Rahab came to believe in the one true God.

Last weekend, August 23 -26th, I had the opportunity to go to Juan Rebel to speak at a conference. What a blessing to share God's word. The theme was to "Be strong and Courageous". That we kept our eyes fixed on God as we follow His direction and trust in Him no matter what our eyes see or what challenges may arise. That we will be faithful in sharing the gospel and make disciples.

A couple of cool opportunities that have arisen because of this past summer. One, Joshua will have the opportunity to be a missionary for a month, this October, in the Dominican Republic. He will  help, a couple of the missionaries we meet, reach Haitians in some of the communities we went to in the DR. He will need to raise support for a month, if you would like to assist him contact me, johnfitts@chadasha.org. 

The other is about returning to Juan Rebel to work with Pastor Moses for a month. I covet you prays for wisdom.
